Dear HCS-TC Campus members:
Several things should get on your radar screen and stay there for this Sunday.
1. Our host school MHS has a musical event this Sunday, 4/2 afternoon in the Auditorium; plus there's a basketball tournament that afternoon also. Parking will be very tight. At the request of our host school, we ask all HCS-TC members to park in the back of the building and you can use Door # 4 to get into the Building. It's convenient. DO NOT park in front of the MHS; and also try to stay away from the hallway to keep traffic to a minimum. Cafeteria is open to all parents as usual.
2. All dancing classes for this Sunday will be moved from the Choral room to Room C 113.
3. TaiChi, Marshall Arts and Fencing classes will be moved to C 114 for this Sunday.
4. There was another unpleasant incident this past Sunday. During recess time, several students played in the hallway, and they ignored the message we have been preaching all year long: Do not touch anything that does not belong to you in MHS.
One of the students played with a locker and unfortunately locked himself inside somehow and could NOT get out. MHS supervisor was
notified, 911 was called and Fairfax county fire rescue department was involved. The student was locked in the tiny locker for about 30 minutes before the fire fighters pried open the locker's door and rescued him. Fortunately, the student was not hurt but was very much scared by the miserable experience. The next step is to have the locker fixed at a cost, which eventually will be channeled back to be paid by the student's family. The lesson we all need to learn from this is to stay away from other people's property. Do not touch them because they are NOT your properties.
Before ending this email, I'd like to state again: Do not touch anything that does NOT belong to you, in classrooms, hallways and at the MHS. We leave the MHS the same way as we enter it. Have respect to the host School and its teachers' properties in their classrooms.
Try to get to the school a little early for this Sunday because of the parking issue. Do Not park in front of the MHS.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Best wishes,
Chen, Xueqin The Principal of the HCS-TC Campus
